2025 International Diversity Scholarship Application
International Diversity Scholarship
Georgia Southern University strongly values international students. As a sign of our support, Georgia Southern awards a limited number of International Diversity Scholarships to international students. These competitive scholarships, valued at around $13,000 per year*, are awarded to selected international freshmen or international transfer students who demonstrate good academic standing, financial need, and a commitment to the university and community.
How Much Is The International Diversity Scholarship Worth?
The International Diversity Scholarship waives the out-of-state fee, charged to all international and out-of-state students. The Scholarship is valued at approximately $13,000 per year*, saving selected international students around $52,000 over four years!
If Selected For The Scholarship, How Much Will I Pay For Tuition?
Tuition and fees at Georgia Southern for international students is around $10,500 per semester. If awarded the International Diversity Scholarship, you will only pay around $3,700 per semester for tuition and fees*.
*Tuition estimates are based on 15 credit hours per semester, not including room & board and mandatory health insurance.
Who Is Eligible For The Fee Waiver Scholarship?
New international freshmen or transfer students in F-1 Visa status beginning in the fall term are eligible to apply for an International Diversity Scholarship. Applicants must be officially accepted for enrollment to Georgia Southern before being considered for the scholarship. Consideration will be given to applicants who demonstrate good academic standing, financial need, and a commitment to the university and community. The International Diversity Scholarship is not available to students beginning in the spring or summer terms. Currently enrolled international students are not eligible to apply for the scholarship.
